My favorite is the UK cover, the color combination caught my eye.
June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.
It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.
But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengence, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?
As the only Scion who can descend into the Underworld, Helen Hamilton has been given a nearly impossible task. By night she wanders through Hades, trying to stop the endless cycle of revenge that has cursed her family. By day she struggles to overcome the fatigue that is rapidly eroding her sanity. Without Lucas by her side, Helen is not sure she has the strength to go on.
Just as Helen is pushed to her breaking point, a mysterious new Scion comes to her rescue. Funny and brave, Orion shields her from the dangers of the Underworld. But time is running out—a ruthless foe plots against them, and the Furies’ cry for blood is growing louder.
As the ancient Greek world collides with the mortal one, Helen’s sheltered life on Nantucket descends into chaos. But the hardest task of all will be forgetting Lucas Delos.
Josephine Angelini’s compelling saga becomes ever more intricate and spellbinding as an unforgettable love triangle emerges and the eternal cycle of revenge intensifies. Eagerly awaited, this sequel to the internationally bestselling STARCROSSED delivers a gritty, action-packed love story that exceeds expectation.
I started reading Dreamless immediately after finished reading Starcrossed and it started right after the first book left off, Lucas and Helen love each other but they can´t be together because their love is forbidden, but at the same time they can´t stay apart so Lucas tries to make Helen to hate him, honestly I didn't like the way he handled it, he treats her really bad.
Also at the end of Starcrossed Helen discover that she´s a descender and she´s the only scion who can descend to the underworld to find and try to defeat the furies, and stop the cycle of vengeance. In this journey through the underworld Helen is not alone, she gets the help of Orion another scion from other house.
Helen is exhausted all the time because she descends at night to the underworld, at first she´s alone and she doesn´t know what to do and she desperate because in the real world she´s having problems with her friends and also is suffering because Lucas gives her the cold shoulder. At this point Helen meets Orion in the underworld a scion that help her with her task and they become friends and the more time they spend together the closer they become and that could complicate things even more.
In Dreamless - yes, we got a love triangle and I'm not thrilled about it because Orion is such a lovable character, he´s strong, gorgeous, super hot, honest, he cares for Helen, he´s selfless and has a background story that melts my heart and I can´t find anything wrong with him. I LOVE Orion!
Lucas is absent for much of the book and he´s angry all the time because of the situation with Helen and also he´s having other problems but he truly loves Helen. I love him also.
Dreamless is amazing, I really loved it! I like where this story is heading, can´t wait to read the next book in the series. Some of the Greek gods made their apearence in it; if you love Greek mythology you definitively going to love this book.
Set on the island of Nantucket, STARCROSSED tells the tale of Helen Hamilton, a young woman whose destiny is forever altered when she meets Lucas Delos and tries to kill him in front of her entire high school. Which is terribly inconvenient, not only because Lucas is the most beautiful boy on the island, but also because Helen is so achingly shy she suffers physical pain whenever she is given too much attention.
Making matters worse, Helen is beginning to suspect she’s going crazy. Whenever she’s near Lucas or any member of his family she sees the ghostly apparitions of three women weeping bloody tears, and suffers the burden of an intense and irrational hate. She soon learns that she and Lucas are destined to play the leading roles in a Greek tragedy that the Three Fates insist on repeating over and over again throughout history. Like her namesake, Helen of Troy, she’s destined to start a war by falling in love. But even though Lucas and Helen can see their own star-crossed destiny, they’re still powerfully attracted to each other. Will they give up their personal happiness for the greater good, or risk it all to be together?
Helen Hamilton is sixteen year-old and she had live all her life on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts with her father. Helen has the most beautiful face in the world, she´s shy and kind; she lives a sort of ordinary life, she knows that she´s different but don´t know why, she´s super strong, she can run faster that any other human being.
Then one day the Delos Family moves to town and everything change. The first time that Helen sees Lucas Delos she feels such rage inside that she tries to kill him, because three weeping creatures demand that blood must run, as some blood debt must be paid. As the story unfolds we learn that Helen and Lucas are destined to meet and fall in love and be part of a tragedy that repeats time after time.
I'll start by saying that I really liked this book, at first I must confess I found some similarities with Twilight and the first chapters were OK, but when Lucas appeared, the story gets better. With the arrival of the Delos family the book takes a direction that I wasn´t expecting. I had a vague idea about the plot of the book but the story really surprised me, it was better than I expected.
In the Delos boys are: Hector is 17-18 year-old, Jason and Lucas are 16-17 years-old, they´re handsome and have superhuman strength and other talents. And Delos girls are Cassandra and Jason's twin sister, Ariadne. My favorites are Lucas of course, he´s in love with Helen and has a small hero complex that despite the fact that Helen is equally or more powerful than him, he wants to rescue her. I also like Hector, there´s something about him that I like. Another important character is Claire, Helen´s best friend.
Starcrossed is a young adult novel that has suspense, mystery, action, romance and is based on Greek mythology. And it has an ending that got me hooked.

If I had to choose one that would be the US cover, but in truth they don´t catch my eye.
Within the walls of Baalboden, beneath the shadow of the city’s brutal leader, Rachel Adams has a secret. While other girls sew dresses, host dinner parties, and obey their male Protectors, Rachel knows how to survive in the wilderness and deftly wield a sword. When her father, Jared, fails to return from a courier mission and is declared dead, the Commander assigns Rachel a new Protector, her father’s apprentice, Logan—the same boy Rachel declared her love for two years ago, and the same boy who handed her heart right back to her. Left with nothing but fierce belief in her father’s survival, Rachel decides to escape and find him herself. But treason against the Commander carries a heavy price, and what awaits her in the Wasteland could destroy her.
At nineteen, Logan McEntire is many things. Orphan. Outcast. Inventor. As apprentice to the city’s top courier, Logan is focused on learning his trade so he can escape the tyranny of Baalboden. But his plan never included being responsible for his mentor’s impulsive daughter. Logan is determined to protect her, but when his escape plan goes wrong and Rachel pays the price, he realizes he has more at stake than disappointing Jared.
As Rachel and Logan battle their way through the Wasteland, stalked by a monster that can’t be killed and an army of assassins out for blood, they discover romance, heartbreak, and a truth that will incite a war decades in the making.
Smart, über-careful, ordinary Samantha—that's me. But I just couldn't pass up a surprise kiss from my number one unattainable crush. A kiss that did something to me…something strange. Now I feel hungry all the time, but not for food. It's like part of me is missing—and I don't know if I can get it back.
Then there's Bishop. At first I thought he was just a street kid, but the secrets he's keeping are as intense as his unearthly blue eyes. If he's what I think he is, he may be the only one who can help me. But something terrifying is closing in, and the one chance Bishop and I have to stop it means losing everything I ever wanted and embracing the darkness inside me….
Days after the kiss with Stephen, Samantha meets Bishop a guy somehow that looks like a cute street kid and he seems to be mentally wrong, in reality he´s an angel on a mission. In this mission hangs the destiny of the people who lives in the city Trinity, NY, they can be saved or destroyed.
Samantha is an average girl a little bit insecure with a good heart. So far there not a love triangle so her love interest is Bishop, he´s super hot and a little bit mentally unstable as result of his entering to the city unprotected and the only thing that clears his mind is holding hands with Samantha. There is a lot of tension for before the first kiss between them and the attraction is undeniable. Bishop is the leader of the mission and the other team members (angels/demons) are Kraven, Zach and Roth. Another character that I like a lot is Kraven, he´s the sarcastic bad boy type, I want to know more about him.
Dark Kiss is a new series of angels and demons with romance, suspense and little bit of action that the lovers of paranormal novels will enjoy.
Two days after Mara walks into a police station in Miami at the close of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, she is committed for psychiatric treatment for what her parents believe is a mental breakdown. But what seems like a hallucination to everyone else is a chilling reality for Mara. Someone from her past has discovered her strange, disturbing secret and that someone wants her to pay. But she's about to discover that the price is more than she can bear.
Dark and thrilling, suspenseful and passionate, The Evolution of Mara Dyer will have readers breathlessly turning pages to find out what will become of Mara Dyer next.
Title: The Arctic Incident (Artemis Fowl #2)
Author: Eoin Colfer
Publisher: Disney- Hyperion
Release date: August 4th 2009(first published May 1st 2002)
Age range: 10 years & up
Artemis Fowl wants to find his father, held hostage in Russia; Holly Short wants to find who's supplying the goblins with human technology; Foaly wants to find out who's disabled all the LEP Technology and pointed the finger at him.
Artemis has received a ransom demand for his father but is captured by the LEP who suspect him of supplying the goblins with dangerous Human technology (batteries). He convinces them he's innocent and agrees to help them if they help him free his father. Meanwhile, down in the underground world, chaos has arisen. An unknown traitor has stolen forbidden weapons and armed a horde of trolls, setting them loose to wreak havoc on the citizens. Clues lead Captain Holly Short straight to Artemis, and she exacts a small bit of revenge by kidnapping him, just as he once kidnapped her. But soon she learns that Artemis isn't behind the chaos, and if she's to have any hope of stopping it, she will need his help. As a result, these onetime adversaries must now join forces -- a mix that proves to be both charming and volatile.
It's been almost a year since the events of the first book and now a 13 year-old Artemis learns that his father may be alive and the Russian mafia sent him a video of a man who could be his father and they' re asking for a ransom. Artemis and Butler decided to go to his rescue.
And while this is happening in the underground Goblins are smuggling prohibited weapons and apparently are getting help from the human world. When Holly discovers this, she can think of only one human capable to do that, their enemy number one, Artemis Fowl. So Holly is more than happy when she goes above ground to arrest him and from there everything gets more complicated.
I liked The Arctic Incident a lot more than I liked the first book, in this book we see a more human Artemis, not so analytical, cynical and cold as he used to be, there are times when he loses his composure and shows his feelings that made the character of Artemis lot more likeable and I liked his last line of the book. I love Butler's character, as usual he´s loyal to Artemis and his faith in him is huge, he follows his orders blindly. Commander Root and Captain Holly end up doing a truce with Artemis and work together to discover who is gathering an army of Goblins and why. And in exchange their going to help Artemis to rescue his father.
This book is more dynamic, as we know the main characters, the story flows more quickly.
I really liked this book a lot and of course I'll read the next book.

My favorite is the US cover, I like the silver color in it and I like the exploding glass effect behind the girl.
I like the swedish cover also because I think it matches the dystopian theme of the book.
And I don´t like the spanish cover at all, it seems kind of Charlie's Angels theme.
After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.
Her opponents are men—thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the kings council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she’ll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom.
Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she’s bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it’s the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.
Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.
