Top 10 Books I’ve read in 2011

The Top Ten in 2011 is a meme hosted by Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic and Lisa from A Life Bound By Books, Jamie & Patricia from Two Chicks on Books, and Rachel from Fiktshun.

These are my top 10 books that I´ve read and have been published in 2011, in no particular order.

Daughter of Smoke and Bones is the best book of fantasy that I had read this year, is beautiful written, is dark tale with a mind-blowing cliffhanger ending.

Where She Went (If I Stay #2) is a achingly beautiful and teary story.

Lola and the Boy Next Door, is the companion novel of Anna and the French Kiss which I LOVE!! At first I didn´t get Lola but I get to like her. And Cricket is the most lovable character in this book.

Divergent is the best dystopian novel since The Hunger Games (at least for me)  Tris and Four are strong characters.

Clockwork Prince, OMG, I love this book!.

The Iron Knight, is also a great book, I love it more than the first three maybe because this book was from Ash POV.

I recently start reading Melina Marchetta books and so far I love them. The Piper´s Son is similar to Where She Went in that the main character Tom Mackee is broken, messed up and talented. It was heart-breakingly beautiful.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is amazing!

Angel Fire is a fantastic book, I love it as much as Angel (Angel Burn).

Since I read the sequel Daimon, this series got me hooked, I was so excited to get my hands on Half-Blood and I wasn´t disappointed. Is amazing!








My plus one is a Non-YA.

Shadowfever is the ending of the Fever series and I LOVET IT!!. I start to read this series last year and is amazing!!!

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is Michelle Hodkin debut. This books is a psycological thriller with a little bit of paranormal, with enough suspense and spooky moments. This story had me guessing at all times and sice I read the introduction I was hooked and couldn´t stop reading it until I finish.

I don´t want to tell too much about the story, because this books is one that should be read without spoilers, because otherwise is not going to have the same impact. The main character Mara Dyer is a 16 years old girl who has an accident that killed her friends and she result unharmed and she can´t remember nothing of that night. She is really affected because of this event.

I really like a lot this book, is really good and has a cliffhanger ending that leave me wanting to know what was next. And look at the cover is gorgeous, I love underwater pictures. I recommend this book so buy it or borrow it, is really amazing.

This is the story of Thomas Mackee my favorite character of Saving Francesca.  The book has two points of view of Tom and his aunt Georgie. Now 5 years later Tom is at his lowest, drop out uni, on drugs, alienate of his true friends and hanging with bad company.  After been thrown out of his apartment he moves in with his pregnant aunt who is having her own problems; been pregnant at 42, single, and the father of her unborn child is her ex-boyfriend that broke her heart.

As Tom says all came down to one event that happens 2 years before, the dead of his uncle. That changes everything and everyone in his family. And now the Mackees are struggling  to move on.

We get to see characters from Saving Francesca as Francesca, Justine, Will, Luca and Tara. 

The Piper´s Son is a contemporary novel well written, very emotional, heartbreaking and beautiful story about family, friendship, love, grief and loss. This novel is a must read.
