BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY...
THEY GET EVEN.

Lillia has never had any problems dealing with boys who like her. Not until this summer, when one went too far. No way will she let the same thing happen to her little sister.

Kat is tired of the rumours, the insults, the cruel jokes. It all goes back to one person– her ex-best friend– and she's ready to make her pay.

Four years ago, Mary left Jar Island because of a boy. But she's not the same girl anymore. And she's ready to prove it to him.

Three very different girls who want the same thing: sweet, sweet revenge. And they won't stop until they each had a taste.

Burn for Burn tells the story of Lillia, Kat and Mary, three different girls, with nothing in common except that all three want to take revenge on the person that hurt them the most, so they get together to make them pay for what they did.

Once they decided to join as a team to get back at each of those who have harmed them, which in this case end up being three people of Lillia´s group of friends, so the deal is that the three must participate in all the acts of revenge, not to tell anyone else about it and can not give up halfway through. And while the acts of revenge begin a little more like pranks, they end up being something serious that they could end up in jail if they get caught.

The book is told from the point of view of Lillia, Kat and Mary alternating between them, so we can see through their memories what happened to get to the point that they need to take revenge and in some cases the situation is stronger than other. Lillia is a rich girl, popular, whose sole intention is to protect her younger sister, Kat is a tough girl who wants her former best friend to stop talking bad about her and Mary is a very insecure girl who returns to the island after four years to face her bully so she can get on with her life.

Burn for Burn is the first book of a trilogy and introduces us to a group of girls willing to do anything to get even, the book is entertaining, funny and with an ending that I need to read the next book, now! ! because I need to know what will happen to the characters and what will happen with that last act of vengeance that got out of control. And I need to know what happens with Mary ..... I have my theories about her, and to see what happens with the rest of the girls. Burn for Burn is a contemporary novel but I have a feeling that it will contain a little of supernatural.

  1. I really enjoyed this book, but I wasn't expecting the supernatural elements at the end. I don't know whether I liked that aspect or not, but I'll definitely be picking up the next one because I really want to know what happens haha.

    Great Review!

  5. The book sounds mildly interesting with how far they might go for revenge. Curious. Although the cover title is distracting from the picture that pushes me away from the book.
