Burning Kingdoms is the second book in The Internment Chronicles, and it really bored me most of the time, is very slow paced, almost nothing relevant happens to the story and I'm annoyed about the love triangle, as said boy has very few interactions with the main character and suddenly they´re attracted to each other .... I did not like the love triangle.
I really enjoyed Vanishing Girls, it´s a story where the main plot are two sisters that used to be very close, but due to a car accident that only caused minor injuries to Nick, meanwhile Dara ends with scars in her face and reconstructed arms and legs, so throughout the book they avoid each other, because Nick was driving the day they had the accident. But while the beginning it feels like a sort f typical contemporary book, as it progresses it turns into a thriller where a nine years girl disappears and all the people are looking for her and this disappearance is constantly mentioned during the book and it is not until the end that we see why. It also has a twist that may or may not be predictable.
And I also read Audition, a short story and prequel of Seraphina, it´s very short history but is about Seraphina´s audition to become Viridius's assistant. My favorite part is the interaction between Seraphina and her teacher Orma.
