Calla has always welcomed war.In Bloodrose searchers and keepers are at war and Calla is in the middle, along with Ren, Shay and others embark on seeking the parts of the sword (I cannot remember his name of the sword). I must admit that the first part of the book is full of action scenes as the group goes not stop, and visit different parts of the world in search of parts of the sword, and they encounter different obstacles. Connor is hilarious and Calla (shakes head) is supposed to be the alpha but the whole time she´s undecided, she loves both Shay and Ren and she decides in Chapter 2 to be fair to both and not to decide until the end of the war that is if they survive, but she really made me want to shake her a few times.
But now that the final battle is upon her, there's more at stake than fighting. There's saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay's wrath. There's keeping Ansel safe, even if he's been branded a traitor. There's proving herself as the pack's alpha, facing unnamable horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers' magic once and for all. And then there's deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is.
I have mixed feelings Bloodrose, the book was going so well for the first 85% of the story, but at with certain event, the book no longer worked for me, in fact I leave the book at that point and I read another book to sheer me up and let my anger pass (I read Friday Night Bites by Chloe Neill) and then return to finish my reading. But the book didn´t worked for me, I did not like the end at all.
As a series I really like Nightshade, but Bloodrose didn´t convince me. But this is a book that you love or not and I'm didn´t love it.
