Most Likely to Succeed is the third and final book of the Superlatives trilogy. At the beginning of the school year there was some sort of election to vote for the seniors superlatives (this happens on the 1st. Book) such as Biggest Flirts (1st. book), Most academics, Best athletes,The perfect couple that never was, etc (2nd. book), etc. and each book focuses on a different couple, Biggest Flirts was Tia´s and Will´s book, Perfect Couple was Harper´s and Brody´s book and the last book is about Kaye and Sawyer. Tia, Harper and Kaye are best friends, they along with their romantic interests in all the books and we get to see some progresses or update of their relationships. Something I liked about the series is that at least for me, is that it isn´t necessary to read the previous one, since at the beginning of the book it gives you a mini summary to place you in story.
Kaye is the valedictorian of her class, the student council vice president, a cheerleader and she has planned all her life according to what her mother expected of her, because although she does not get along with her boyfriend Aidan, they are "perfect" for the future she had plan for them, they´ll go to the same university and she plans to marry him when they had met certain goals that they have planned, but lately things are not going as they had planned and she´s beginning to doubt if she really wants that "perfect" future.
Sawyer is the jokester of the class, he´s sort of a one night stand guy without taking anyone seriously or the kind of guy that hangs out with any of them, except when he was Tia´s friend with benefits, he´s the school mascot and works like crazy to support himself because he can´t relay on his parents to do it, he´s father is an ex-convict and he hasn´t see his mother for a couple of years.
Sawyer and Kaye relationship in the previous books, they didn´t get along very well, because almost all the time she made some abrasive comments about him and he was different with her that he was with his other female friends, so he was more close and friendly Tía and Harper than with Kaye. But in this book we learn that both have been attracted to each other for a long time, but none of them ever dared to act on that attraction.
Overall, I enjoyed reading Most Likely to Succeed, it´s a light, romantic and fun read, perfect for summer, with some of the expected cliches on novels set in high school, but it was a good conclusion of the trilogy.
