Top Ten Tuesday (45): Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read
(in no particular order)
(books I have bought and are still sitting on my bookshelf but I´m not sure if I´m into it anymore, books I wanted to read but heard mixed things about, hyped books I´m not sure about --- basically any book that has me going, "TO READ OR NOT TO READ?")

LOST INTEREST
Insurgent (Divergent #2) and Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth : I read and loved Divergent when first came out but I didn´t read Insurgent because I was waiting to read it back-to-back with Allegiant but sadly I read a HUGE spoiler and lost interest on the trilogy, maybe next year I´ll read it.

DUE TO MIXED REVIEWS
Wither (The Chemical Garden #1) by Lauren DeStefano

BECAUSE IS A LAST BOOK IN A SERIES
(Sometimes I just don´t want it to end)
Boundless (Unearthly #3) by Cynthia Hand

Unbreakable (Unraveling #2) by Elizabeth Norris

I´M NOT SURE WHY I HAVEN´T READ THEM
Silence (Hush, Hush #3) by Becca Fitzpatrick
Hourglass (Hourglass #1) by Myra McEntire
Shade (Shade #1) by Jeri Smith-Ready

Everbound (Everneath #2) by Brodi Ashton

  1. I feel the same way about the rest of the Divergent trilogy. I read book one but based on what I know about the other books, I'm just not feeling it much anymore.

  2. Guess I was one of the few people who didn't hate the Divergent books in the end. Granted there were emotions, but hate wasn't one of them.

I enjoyed Boundless and With All my Soul both were great endings to the series. Loved Rachel's ending especially.

Also liked Silence and Hourglass, so maybe one day you might read those too! Nice picks!

  3. Wow the Divergent books were in my list too but not because I lost nterest in them but because it was spoiled. I don't usually hate spoilers but in this case it ruined them for me...

  4. I hate Spoilers! I was spoiled for Mockingjay too and I can't make myself read it either. It was just ruined for me!

  5. I agree with everything except for Unbreakable. The rest you could live without, to be honest. :)

  6. Insurgent and Allegiant made my list too, mainly because I've heard really bad reviews for Allegiant (and I too read that spoiler which just made it seem pointless). Wither has a gorgeous cover!

  7. I did read Insurgent, but the spoiler thing happened to me with Allegiant. I don’t feel it’s worth reading it at this stage. I didn’t really enjoy Insurgent, so I don’t really mind not finishing the last book.

I haven't read Boundless just yet, I'm kind of terrified the trilogy won't end the way I want it to!

  8. I still haven't read some middle and last books from trilogies and that despite really liking the first one! And I still haven't read Allegiant, but that's because I was spoiled and I'm not sure if I have the strenght to read it now!

  10. I have read the Divergent trilogy and to tell you honestly the first book is the best in the trilogy but the next ones...especially Insurgent is not that good, its actually pretty boring most of the book. It picks up in Allegiant, but still not as good as Divergent.

You have to read With All My Soul (Soul Screamers #7) by Rachel Vincent! I love that series and I think it has an amazing ending and I wish there was more:/

  11. If you're not sure if you'll read it or not. Why don't you give those books away? To me for example :p I'll definitely accept those with my full heart. And I don't know why, but the cover of Unbreakable reminds me of Vampire Diaries. :/

  12. I read that huge spoiler in Allegaint as well but went ahead and finished the series. And I'm still on the fence about the Chemical Garden series too. The Revenants series is great though!!

  14. Insurgent and Allegiant were on mine, too. As well as Boundless. I haven't read Unbreakable yet, but that is definitely one that I plan to read!
