The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do--and they are just as determined to stay together.
Within the confines of a cave they're using as a makeshift refuge, they struggle to reconcile their people, Dwellers and Outsiders, who are united only in their hatred of their desperate situation. Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. Then Roar arrives in a grief-stricken fury, endangering all with his need for revenge.
Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble an unlikely team for an impossible rescue mission. Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival--he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.
In this final book in her earth-shattering Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.
Into the Still Blue begins a few days after where the previous book ended and Aria, Perry and all the inhabitants of the tribe both outsiders and dwellers are in trouble, because the sky is very unstable and the aether storms are becoming more constant and the sky is changing like in the beginning of the "union" 300 years before, that indicates that the storms will be worse, so they can not continue living there, it´s necessary to find the mythical Still Blue, a place where it is believed that there aren´t aether storms, the sky is blue and it´s said that you can see the stars.
And the only one who knows its location is Sable and also to get there they need Cinder´s help because of his unique ability, so Perry, his friends form a small group in order to rescue Cinder and get the exact location of Still Blue, but things do not go as expected, and Perry will face obstacles that he had not contemplated.
About the characters I´ll start with Roar (because he's wonderful), during the first part of the book he isn´t in a good place, he´g grieving and destroyed by the pain of losing someone he loved, so he's angry all the time and directs his anger at Perry, his best friend. All he wants is revenge no matter who stands between them.
Meanwhile Perry is up to his head full of responsibilities, because as the blood lord of his tribe everyone turns to him for answers and solutions to to the difficult situation they´re facing since the aether storms are getting worse, the food is diminishing, so he needs to find the Still Blue, and to do that Perry must rescue Cinder and get transportation for his entire tribe, because he isn´t willing to leave anyone behind.
Regarding the romance between Aria and Perry, I'm glad that they finally decided to admit their love in front of the tribe and to solve the problems they had, because they became stronger once they leave behind their insecurities and end up being a stronger couple and individuals, they support each other in everything and they end up complementing each other in the handling the situation with the tribe and the aether storms.
Something I liked in this book was that Soren gets to redeemed himself and becomes a crucial part in the plot to get to the Still Blue, besides of being the funny part of the book, I laughed like crazy with his comments.
Overall, I LOVED Into the Still Blue, it´s fast-paced with lots of action, romance, friendship and a very good ending, that tie up all the loose ends and left me feeling satisfied and happy with the story of Perry and Aria, although there are sad moments in the plot. I recommend you read the trilogy Under the Never Sky, it´s a great addition to the dystopian genre. I really greatly enjoyed this trilogy in whole.
